Endgame

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

Endgame was one of my first ideas, and was heavily inspired by Re:Zero. The main character restarts his adventure everytime he dies. Making different choices every time, but always getting the same results. Death. So many times we look back and think to ourselves "What if I had done this?" or "What if this one thing hadn't happened?" There are so many what ifs in our lives, and sometimes it's really easy to get caught up in all of those. So much so that sometimes we miss the choices to be made right now. In the end we all end up in the same place. We're all slaves to time, so why not enjoy what we can. Don't worry about all the what ifs and simply focus on the adventure infront of you. Don't think about your regrets. Focus on making your next decision count towards the future you want. Always have something to work towards, whether that's a project, finding self peace, or working on fixing a relationship. Unlike Subaru in Re:Zero, we only get one chance to do things right. We will all stumble and do things we regret, but that's not what life is about. To truly live, we need to stand back up and keep moving forward. Time moves on whether we like it or not, so don't sit stagnating. Find a purpose and work towards it. Even if you fail, at least you did something with the time you have. People constantly talk about having anxiety. When you look at it closely, you'll find that anxiety isn't just feeling stressed. It's a symptom of worthlesness. You have nothing filling your life. Nothing to focus on, so you end up feeling the need to find something. This mentality is why anxious people feel like their plate is full. Next time you feel truly anxious, look at your plate and see what you've really got going on. If you have nothing, it's time to find your next purpose. Stop looking back, and start looking forward. Stop thinking "Whit if I did this?" and start thinking "What if I do this?"
